The accompanying printable resources challenge your class to order differentiated sets of books by their authors' surnames or alternatively challenges your class to organise themselves in small groups according to their first names. Lowercase Letter Formation 2

Use the included lesson slides in this final lesson to model the correct formation of lower-case letters for the 'curly caterpillar' and 'zig-zag' families. Give your class the opportunity to explore and practise forming the shape of these letters as they complete the handwriting worksheets independently. Or, alternatively, set up a sensory station with your class and have them practise their letter formation using picture cards or letter spinners.

This final lesson in the series comes with all you need to practise the letter formation of the second half of the alphabet. The lesson can be stretched over several sessions to make sure the children are confident in their ability to form lower-case letters correctly.
